Our approach

Quipsy is a private family quote app. We collect only the information needed to provide the service. We do not sell personal information, serve targeted advertising, or use your activity to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Information we collect

• Account information, including your email address, authentication records, and a securely hashed password if you choose to set one.
• Family content you provide, including household and family-member names, birth dates, photos, quotes, conversations, dates, and optional context.
• Sharing information, such as private invitation tokens and the family feeds you choose to follow.
• Basic technical and security information generated when you use the service, such as request logs, device or browser information, and error details.

How we use information

We use this information to create and secure your account, store and display your family memories, operate private sharing and widgets, deliver sign-in emails, provide support, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and comply with legal obligations.

How information is shared

Your content is shown to people and households you choose to share it with. We also use service providers to operate Quipsy, including Vercel for application hosting, Supabase for database hosting, Cloudflare for image storage and delivery, Google Workspace for support email, and Postmark for transactional email. These providers process information on our behalf to deliver their services.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect Quipsy and its users, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information.

Children's information

Quipsy is designed for parents and other adults, not for children to create their own accounts. Adults may add information about children in their family. You should only provide a child's information when you are authorized to do so, and you control whether that information is shared with another family household.

Storage, security, and retention

We use administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect your information, including encrypted network connections and restricted account access. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We retain account information and family content while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify associated information unless we must retain limited records for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or backup recovery. Residual backup copies may remain for a limited period before being overwritten.

Your choices

You can edit or delete individual memories and profiles in Quipsy. You can also delete your account from Account settings. To ask about your information or request help with access, correction, or deletion, email support@getquipsy.com.
